2015: HANGING OUT WITH HOPE

It's New Years Day and I was debating my post theme, when I discovered that 2015 will be the year that Snoopy makes it to the big screen.  I am a big Peanuts fan.  I have been since I can't remember when.  Snoopy was the first love of my life.  I admired that dog.  He was well loved, crazy, adventurous, creative and fun and everything I wanted to be (in human form that is).

The sad moment in this revelation came when I discovered I have to wait until November to see the movie. Oh well, It will be just another thing to wait for.

So since I have to wait... I figure I can share with your the other things I get to wait for.

1.  A completed bathroom
2.  Spring and new flowers
2 1/2. Fresh stawberries
3. My next visit to Calgary (still waiting, girls)
4. A trip to *** ( still in the works)
5. Two 50th birthday family celebrations
6. The next adventure

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,  and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you
 (1 Peter 1:3-4 - NIV)

I was thinking about hope.  I need a good dose of Hope going into the new year.  You know... something to wait for, something to look forward to.  Hope.

The lines of purpose in your lives never grow slack, tightly tied as they are to your future in heaven, kept taut by hope. The Message is as true among you today as when you first heard it. It doesn’t diminish or weaken over time.  It’s the same all over the world. The Message bears fruit and gets larger and stronger, just as it has in you. From the very first day you heard and recognized the truth of what God is doing, you’ve been hungry for more.
(Colossians 1:5-6 - NIV)

Last year was eye opening for me, but as much as my eyes were opened, I know the greatest treasure is one that I can't see. Hope reminds me every day.  Hope keeps me keeping on. Hope has an identity

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Romans 15:13 - NIV)

Hope has an enemy in this world.  It is Reality.  Reality is that thing that gets stuffed in your face when you want to hang out with Hope.  When Hope offers joy and peace, Reality offers despair and gloom.

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.  (Romans 8:24-25 - NIV)

I have a message to send:  I know some of you would rather hang with Reality instead of Hope.  But I have chosen Hope.  It doesn't make me ignorant, uninformed or blind.  Quite the opposite.  It makes me wise, understanding and focused.

With that kind of hope to excite us, nothing holds us back.
(2 Corinthians 3:12 - MSG)

FAITH

HOPE

LOVE

AND NOW THESE THREE REMAIN:

THAT'S IT FOLKS.  FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE... EVERYTHING ELSE WILL WASH DOWN THE TOILET... INCLUDING REALITY.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
AND HERE'S TO FINDING HOPE, EMBRACING HOPE AND SPREADING HOPE.
